What does the Family Records Inventory Visit actually cover?
The visit covers the physical discovery and labelling of personal records — certificates, passports, photographs, property documents, and similar materials — held in the home. We produce a printed inventory page listing what was found and where it is stored. We do not review the content of documents for legal or financial meaning.
Is Vestige able to provide legal or financial advice during sessions?
No. Vestige is a document organisation and heritage workshop service. Our sessions are educational and archival in scope. We are not solicitors, financial advisers, or estate planners, and we do not offer opinions on legal positions, inheritance matters, or asset management.
How long does each service take?
The Family Records Inventory Visit is typically two to three hours. The Heritage Index Workshop runs for a full day. The Heritage Records Programme spans several weeks across multiple sessions, allowing families to work at a comfortable pace between appointments.
Can the home visit take place outside Petaling Jaya?
We primarily serve families in Petaling Jaya and the broader Klang Valley area. Visits to other parts of Selangor are possible depending on scheduling and location. Please contact us to discuss your situation and we will do our best to accommodate.
How many people from our family should attend the workshop?
There is no strict requirement. Heritage workshops work well with two to six family members present. Having a mixture of generations often helps, as older relatives frequently know the history behind documents and photographs that younger members may not recognise.
