Three Ways to Bring Your Family's Records Into Order
From a single home visit to a comprehensive multi-week programme, Vestige offers services sized to different household needs and different levels of material complexity.
Back to Home— Our Methodology
How Vestige Sessions Work
Every Vestige service follows the same underlying logic: we begin by understanding what the household holds, we then help the family build a reference structure around those materials, and we finish by producing a printed output that the family retains. The scope at every stage is organisational and archival — never legal or financial.
Sessions are run by a named Vestige facilitator who is briefed on the household before attending. For multi-session programmes, the same facilitator handles all appointments so the family is not repeating context with a different person each time.
Pre-Session Briefing
A short conversation before the session to understand the household's volume of materials and any particular areas of focus.
Discovery & Labelling
Working through the household's materials systematically, identifying what exists and applying the labelling framework appropriate to the service tier.
Printed Output
Every session concludes with a printed inventory page, labelled folder kit, or heritage handbook depending on the service chosen.
Family Records Inventory Visit
A short home visit helping a household build a printed inventory of personal records, certificates, photographs, and keepsakes. The session is informational and organisational only — no opinions are offered on legal positions or asset matters. The facilitator works through the materials held in the home and produces a structured printed reference the family can file and keep.
- Printed inventory page of all discovered records
- Labelled folder kit left with the household
- Conducted at the family home — no travel required
- Approximately 2–3 hours
RM 490
per visit, all materials included
Heritage Index Workshop
A full-day group workshop helping families build a printed heritage index — a reference describing where family materials live, with a small labelled binder. The workshop is run as labelling and reference work, not as opinions about specific household matters. It works best when two or more family members attend, as different relatives typically hold different parts of the picture. Participants leave with a working draft binder and a labelled cover sheet.
- Working draft heritage index binder
- Labelled cover sheet and dividers
- Family-inclusive workshop — up to 6 participants
- Conducted at our SS23 premises or at the home
- Full day session (approx. 6 hours)
RM 1,400
per workshop, all materials included
Heritage Records Programme
A multi-session programme pacing a family through a thorough organisation of heritage records. The programme covers inventory building, document labelling, scanning checklists, family-meeting agenda templates, and concludes with a final printed heritage handbook. Sessions are spread across several weeks, allowing the household time to gather materials between appointments. The programme is educational and archival in scope and does not include opinions on legal matters.
- Final printed heritage handbook
- Scanning checklists for digital backup guidance
- Family-meeting agenda templates
- Inventory page, labelled binder, and handbook all included
- Multiple sessions over 4–6 weeks
- Same facilitator for all sessions
RM 4,350
per programme, all materials included

— Standards
Professional Protocols Across All Services
No Document Copying or Retention
Vestige facilitators do not photograph, copy, or retain any personal documents during sessions. Materials remain entirely under the family's control at all times.
Archival-Quality Materials
All folder kits, binders, and printed outputs use acid-free materials. This is a deliberate choice — documents stored with standard office materials deteriorate over time in ways that acid-free materials avoid.
Named Facilitator for Every Session
Families are told who their facilitator will be before the session. For the Heritage Records Programme, the same facilitator handles all sessions so context is not lost between appointments.
Strictly Informational Scope
No service includes opinions on the legal significance of documents, estate arrangements, financial matters, or asset distribution. This boundary is maintained consistently across all sessions.
Standardised Output Format
Printed inventory pages and handbooks follow a consistent format developed across hundreds of sessions. This means the output is legible not just to the family member who attended but to any family member who picks it up later.
Flexible Scheduling
Sessions can be scheduled Monday to Saturday. Saturday morning slots are available specifically for families where weekday attendance is difficult for working members.
